UK Born, Alaye is many things to many people, the offspring of a half Nigerian half Jamaican Mother and father from Grenada.
He was born in London and raised by his Grandmother. He represents the Uk, Naija, Jamaica and Grenada. His musical Influences range from Fela Kuti to Bob Marley to Jay-z Alaye is a Rapper, Producer, Ex Street Hustler, & CEO Of Sugakane Ent.,
One of the UK's hottest MC's, Alaye is back with a monster of a mixtape, titled, Undeniable and its hosted by no other than the legendary DJ Tim Westwood.
It is has 26 tracks and features remakes of hit’s like Kanye West’s “Diamonds” and The Notorious BIG’s “Can’t Stop”. This mixtape also features several original Alaye tracks and gives a good insight into this artist as he preps for his debut album scheduled to drop in Quarter 1, 2010.
Storm and Alaye are giving it away for free, real hip hop at its best!
Alaye became popular in Africa due to his collaboration on the monster hit "Temptation" with P-Square.
He Is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album, " Flight".
The 1st Single, "Excuse Me", which features 9ice is currently enjoying massive airplay.
Alaye has worked with nearly every top act in the Nigerian music scene at the moment, including Naeto C, D'Banj, and P-Square. In the uk he has worked with Jay Sean, Chipmunk , Bashy amongst others.
On his forthcoming album, the majority of production was done by himself and his production team "The Surgery" he also has collaborated with ID Cabasa, J.Martins, Tee-Y mix, Kraft and Tha Suspekt.
Alaye has a joint venture with Storm Records in Nigeria & Africa, through his own label, Sugakane Ent.
He is also strongly affiliated with the P-Square camp.
With the album "Flight" scheduled to drop very soon. Alaye just released two singles, “Eyes Don’t Lie” Feat. Naeto C & “Ride It” Feat. May D.
Both songs have huge potential and and a video has been shot for Eyes Don’t Lie already!!!
