Talented NIGERIAN DANCEHALL Artist GENERAL PYPE is the definition of pure talent, bred in Obalende he recently shot his first video for the first video from his impending album on legendary Nigerian Record Label, Storm Records. He's blessed with a structure that stands side by side with nature. A slight man with a big voice, Pype was first heard on the club banger Strong Thing on Sasha’s Album, First Lady. That brought him to the attention of the execs at Storm and since then he has been busy developing his craft and has made some other major hits with M.I on Teaser (the video is being expected any second now) and also on the radio smash Monkey Banana where he again delivered in a major way on this Sauce Kid single which features Ghetto P.
2009 has been a marquee year for General Pype, earlier this year he was in South Africa to shoot some videos, in October he stole the stage at the Mtv Mama Awards where he performed with South African Songstress Lira and also M.I
Also in 2009 in Sept to be precise General Pype became an official Storm Soldier and was welcomed to the label, this was done in a deal with Podyum Vybes and now the results are beginning to emerge.
This video was shot in General Pype’s Area or Hood, Obalende and as you will see he really does run the streets, the streets came out and showed him love and we want to thank all of those people who were part of this process and helped us to deliver this classic video for such a Big Tune.
The track Champion applies to everyone everywhere, we can all be champions, just stay focused, never give up on the dream, and keep pushing. General Pype has already dedicated this track to Usain Bolt and the Nigerian U17 Golden Eaglets as they prepare to play for the World Cup in Abuja they are already Champions in our eyes win or lose.

General Pype, Real name Majekodunmi Olayiwola Ibrahim’s album will be dropping early next year. Pype has been busy performing at shows, like the Guinness 250 anniversary with Sean Paul and loads of other shows.
Rumors Of A Remix track and video have been swirling and Storm can confirm that that remix label mates, Naeto C, Sasha and GT The Guitarman and also emerging Lagos Rappers Vector and Da Grin.
